Office 365

Everyone at the University of Leeds has access to the Office 365 suite, including 5 terabytes of OneDrive storage, through your University account.  This also includes 5 download of Office 365 Pro Plus for PC, Mac, or mobile device, as well as access to the Office toolset online through a browser.

Using Office 365 apps allows your students to collaborate in real time and is excellent for setting group tasks. As well as the standard Office Apps such as Excel, Powerpoint and Word, you also have access to Yammer for setting up online forums and Class Notebook for sending out pre-formatted NoteBooks to students.

All staff and students have access to Microsoft Teams – a central hub to meet, work, share and chat. There are many useful features for staff to use:

  • Channels – Conversations in teams are organised within channels; set your channels up however suits your team.
  • Chat – Have conversations in-channel, for the whole team or in smaller groups. Tag (@) people to bring them into the discussion.
  • Web Conferencing – Start a voice or video call from Teams, share your screen and work together, wherever you are.
  • Collaborate – Upload files to an integrated Team Sharepoint area and collaborate using the range of Microsoft products.
  • Mobile Support – The Teams app is available for iOS and Android so you can stay connected on the move.
