Minerva, the institutional VLE

Minerva is the Virtual Learning Environment for the University of Leeds. Each module has an online space where you can place tools for students to interact and engage with, it is also where you can communicate with your students and where they will submit their assignments online using Turnitin.

Enhancement and Innovation team provide bespoke support for Business School academics, to provide you with support to develop your understanding the tools and technologies that are integrated within Minerva, and to help you make your own module a more engaging and impactful online space for your students.

The Business School are considered to be a leading Faculty in many respects of teaching innovation, and its use of Minerva is one of those areas. Students submit work online and we are one of the biggest users of Feedback Studio – the means of providing qualitative online feedback to students that they can refer back to throughout the duration of their studies.

The University’s central Learning Technologies Team are responsible for the institutional delivery of Minerva – and also offer the service of providing staff with desk-side consultations to help discuss Minerva processes or how specific tools work. The Learning Technologies Team are part of the University Library, and can be reached via the IT Self Service Page.

Pedagogy advice can be sought from the institutional Organisational Development and Professional Learning (ODPL) team.
