Our Services

Learning Technology Support

We have Faculty-level responsibility for supporting the use of Minerva, the institutional portal and VLE. We can provide colleagues with support, or direct colleagues to where they can access support, to develop their understanding of the tools and technologies that are available and integrated with Minerva, making your module area a more engaging and impactful space for your students.

We also provide support in using other institutional learning technologies such as in-class voting, lecture capture, desktop capture and Office365. We also provide recommendations of emerging technologies, and how they can be utilised in teaching environments to positively impact your students learning experience.

Resource Design and Creation

As a team we work with colleagues to plan, produce and deliver pedagogically sound learning resources and journeys in a range of formats. With expertise in graphic design and audio-visual production we thrive on producing high-quality and sustainable resources that are memorable and effective.

Within the team we have responsibility for managing the Innovation Studio; a space specifically designed for the production of learning resources to support student education. In that space we work with colleagues to produce large-production videos, as well as screen recordings and podcasts.

Education Enhancement Projects

We have been instrumental in planning and delivering large-scale educational enhancement projects, such as the support of iPad devices in business education, the provision of E-Books and FT.com subscriptions to students. We are actively involved in institutional working groups that seek to enhance the student experience at the University of Leeds.
